Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper explores the role of reputation in Algeria's foreign policy . It examines how Algeria's past actions have shaped its relations with other states. Empirical evidence is used to demonstrate the significance of reputation in Algeria's foreign policy and explain how the country has worked to cultivate a specific image of itself through its foreign policy since 1962. The study suggests that Algerian policymakers have long recognized the importance of reputation, believing that the state should prioritize maintaining a positive image to ensure international credibility and a favorable view of Algeria. However, Algeria faces the challenge of balancing its international reputation with national interests.
